Traveling To Oregon
Marcel Braun - Glass Artist
The temperature in the glass workshop reached a sweltering degree as the "Glory Hole" blazed. Marcel strolled casually by with the confidence of a well experienced artist. The energy was palpable in the air as the fires burnt hot into the night.
Black Bird on the Oregon Coast
My last Sunday of four weeks in the state of Oregon between June & July of 2016, we traveled the hour or so to the coast and stopped at an outlook point where several birds were waiting patiently for whatever morsels might be offered by the gawking tourists and travelers. This black bird took flight directly in front of us and I was able to capture a moment of his magnificence.
Angel, Woody & Addie at Heceta Beach
Last weekend of this trip - we made it to the Florence, Oregon coast at Heceta Beach! They tell me that when the weather is rainy in Eugene, the coast is almost always sunny & nice. The foggy mist coming off the ocean made an amazing visual effect as we walked.
Woody, Angel & The Greenhouse
The greenhouse has come a long way in the few weeks since I landed in Oregon. This picture was from a week or two ago, before we had the end wall up. Angel dog kept the peace while we worked.
Maple Acoustic @ Wind & Joe's
My first weekend in Eugene, Oregon, we went to an excellent barbecue, where I played a few tunes in the guitar circle. The dogs joined in whenever applicable.
Umpqua River @ Tyee Campground
During my second weekend in Eugene, Oregon, we went to Tyee Campground at the Umpqua River. Such a beautiful landscape and wonderfully pleasant climate.
Woody & Angel in the Glass Garage
This shot is from during my first week or two in Eugene, when the glass wizards were madly at work creating in the garage, leading up to the Degenerate Art competition. Here I caught Woody & Angel in a rare moment of rest, between bursts of activity around the farm.
